Ogden • Grant Duff has been named the new director of football operations at Weber State, first-year head coach Jay Hill announced Friday.

Duff has spent the last five years serving in various capacities with the football program at the University of Utah, where he worked with Hill.

In his new role at Weber, Duff will be involved in all areas of the football program, including travel, budget, scheduling and organization.

"We are really excited to have Grant join our staff," Hill said. "I know how hard of a worker he is. ... He understands both the coaching and business side of college football and will be a great asset for us at Weber State."

Duff is a native of Blackfoot, Idaho. He graduated from BYU-Idaho in 2009 with a degree in agriculture. He earned his Master's degree in Health Promotion Education from Utah in 2013.
