Police believe that a man who robbed a coffee shop Sunday night has struck again.

Marshall James Roberts, 25, is suspected of robbing Health Care Credit Union at 769 E. South Temple about 11:00 a.m. Friday, said Salt Lake police Detective Dennis McGowan.

The suspect in surveillance footage from that robbery is the same man as the one seen in footage of the robbery of Coffee Noir at 1035 E. 200 South about 8:21 p.m. Sunday.

In both robberies, the suspect passed a note to an employee indicating he had a weapon and was able to evade police called to the scene.

"He left pretty quickly," said Kallie Randle, a supervisor at the credit union that was robbed Friday morning. "It was very, very, very quick."

The man, described as in his mid- to late-20s, 6 feet 1 inch tall and thin, with bushy red hair, was accompanied by a woman during the Coffee Noir robbery, but he was alone when he robbed Health Care Credit Union, McGowan said.

Roberts is said to frequent Salt Lake-area shelters and is known to stay in local motels, possibly with his female accomplice, police said in statement.

Police have asked anyone with information about Roberts's whereabouts to call (801) 799-3000 or text "TIPSSLCPD" plus any relevant information to 274637 (CRIMES).
