Police on Thursday afternoon investigated bomb threats at Target stores in Orem and Centerville that turned out to be unfounded.

Orem police tweeted at 4:08 p.m. that there was a bomb threat at the Target store at 608 W. Main St. An Orem police dispatcher said the store had been evacuated; that store was cleared about 5:30 p.m..

Centerville police tweeted at 4:33 p.m. that they, too, were investigating a bomb threat at the Target at 200 N. Main St. That store, too, had been evacuated.

No explosives were found.
