The Salt Lake County Health Department closed Bout Time Pub in West Valley City on Thursday, April 17, after health inspectors discovered 43 food service violations.

According to a report on the department website, the establishment at 3318 S. Decker Lake Road, was "suspended from performing food service" until the violations have been corrected and the business has been reinspected by health officials.

Among the worst violations:

— Raw chicken stored above ready to eat foods in the reach-in refrigerator.

— Raw chicken and raw beef held at too high a temperature on the counter.

— Clean utensils stored on an unclean surface.

— Unclean ice maker.

— Equipment surfaces that contact potentially hazardous foods were not cleaned at least every 4 hours.

— Bottle of bleach stored on food prep sink.

— A container of food stored on the floor.
