The host Tacoma Rainiers took a seven-run lead after two innings and held on to beat the Salt Lake Bees 8-5 on Tuesday night in a Pacific Coast League game.

Salt Lake starter Joe Martinez (0-3) took the loss, giving up eight runs (six earned) on 11 hits over four innings. He had seven strikeouts.

The Bees rallied for three runs in the sixth inning, with C.J. Cron hitting an RBI double and Brennan Boesch adding a two-run homer.
