It was a merry Christmas for Utah Jazz player Gordon Hayward: he proposed and she said, "Yes!"
Hayward, 23, posted a photo on his Instagram account of himself and his new fiancee, Robyn Van Vliet, on Christmas day, with the caption: "Merry Christmas to everyone out there! Hope it's a good one! Mine was especially good bc SHE SAID YES!!!! So thrilled I get to marry my best friend and such an amazing person @robynvanvliet! I love you!!!"
Van Vliet posted the same photo on Christmas Eve, writing that she was happy to "finally [be] engaged to the love of my life..."
According to Van Vliet's Facebook page, she graduated in 2013 from an Indiana high school and is currently attending cosmetology school.
Hayward, who plays at the guard and forward positions for the Utah Jazz, also grew up in Indiana, and attended high school and college there. He is in his fourth season with the NBA.
