The conference schedule is about to get under way in college basketball, so it's time to take inventory of the leagues.

The Pac-12 has enjoyed a successful nonconferece run, which includes Arizona rising to the nation's No. 1 ranking.

The West Coast Conference also is putting together a nice resume in the nonconference slate. BYU tried to beef up its nonconference schedule to gain more attention from the NCAA Tournament selection committee, but it will get plenty of chances to add impressive wins in conference.
