Meet award-winning writer/blogger/cook Hank Shaw, on Thursday, Nov. 21, and get in touch with your hunter-gatherer side.

Shaw, who blogs at Hunter Angler Gardener Cook, will be in King's English Bookshop, 1511 S. 1500 East, at 6 p.m. signing copies of his new cookbook: "Duck, Duck Goose: The Ultimate Guide to Cooking Waterfowl, Both Farmed and Wild."

As duck becomes more popular on restaurant menus and in home kitchens, Shaw's book offers recipes and tips to cook waterfowl like a pro.

A former newspaperman, Shaw won the 2010 Best Blog Award from the International Association of Culinary Professionals and has been nominated twice for James Beard Foundation Awards, "the Oscars of food."

He also is the author of "Hunt, Gather, Cook: Finding the Forgotten Feast."

Books are $24.99 each. Places in the signing line are reserved for those who purchase books at the King's English.
