Tony Parker scored 22 points and Boris Diaw added 17 as the San Antonio Spurs rallied for a 91-82 victory over the Jazz on Friday night at EnergySolutions Arena.
San Antonio trailed, 67-60, at the start of the fourth quarter. A 12-2 run gave the Spurs the lead, however, and Utah couldn't rally despite a big effort from Derrick Favors.
Despite second-half foul trouble, Favors finished with 20 points and 18 rebounds.
The Jazz, who have lost eight of their last 10 games against San Antonio, started well.
After the Spurs grabbed an early 8-7 lead, Utah went on an 18-4 run. Favors scored six points and Alec Burks added five as the Jazz opened a 25-12 lead on the reigning Western Conference champions.
The Jazz finished the quarter shooting 52 percent and, with Richard Jefferson scoring eight points, they maintained a 29-16 lead.
San Antonio opened the second quarter with a 7-0 run, although the Utah parlayed three offensive rebounds into two baskets by Enes Kanter and one by Marvin Williams to regain the momentum.
The Jazz finished the half with a 46-41 lead. Favors had a 10-point, 15-rebound double-double in only 18 minutes.
