Utah Foster Care hosted a Pumpkin Festival at The Gateway's Olympic Legacy Plaza on Friday.

As children painted and decorated pumpkins, representatives from Utah Foster Care and Utah Educational Savings Plan were on hand with information about their programs.

"Halloween is yet another time of the year for families," Dan Webster, Utah Foster Care Foundation's area representative for Salt Lake Valley, said in a news release. "While your family is having fun, it's a good time to remember that there are children in foster care who would love to have a foster family to be part of during Halloween and the other fun times of the year."
