Live horse racing returns to Wyoming Downs for the first time since 2009 on Saturday and Sunday.

Post time is 1:30 p.m. Eight races are scheduled each day.

In Saturday's feature, the $7,510 Wyoming Downs Bonus Challenge Derby has lured a field of 10 3-year-old quarter horses, including 5-to-2 morning line favorite Jess Fly Home.

Owned by Daniel Bybee and trained by J.E. Thompson, Jess Fly Home has won four of 14 career starts, including an allowance victory on Aug. 31 at Sweetwater Downs in Rock Springs.

In Sunday's feature, Honoroso looks like the horse to beat in the $7,010 Wyoming Downs 870 Bonus Challenge Stakes.

Co-owned by Mark Hanson and Richard Gardner and trained by Hanson, Honoroso has won eight of 25 career starts and earned nearly $38,000.

The likely favorite in the five-horse field comes off an easy handicap win on Sept. 1 at Blackfoot, Idaho.
