$10 • Chicken and waffles
This dish is one of the food darlings of the moment, but that's not without reason. When done well, it's a decadent delight. At Avenues Proper Restaurant & Publick House, the small-plate dish begins with a waffle aflpat in thyme infused maple syrup. A house-made chicken sausage comes next, and a picture-perfect sunny-side-up quail egg finishes the creation with aplomb.
