A man who allegedly robbed a US Bank in Millcreek on Friday was cornered later by police in a downtown Salt Lake City hotel room and surrendered.
Unified Police Detective Jared Richardson said UPD and Salt Lake City police worked together to track the 30-year-old suspect to a Shilo Inn at 206 S. West Temple.
Richardson said police from the two agencies surrounded the hotel, and the man quickly complied to officers' instructions to come out.
He was expected Friday night to be booked into the Salt Lake County jail on a count of armed robbery. He also was wanted on a federal warrant, Richardson said.
Unified Police said the man robbed the US Bank at 888 E. 4500 South about 1:13 p.m. He handed the teller a note demanding cash and threatening to show a weapon, then fled when he had his money.
No one was injured and no weapons were seen.
The man's face and his tattoos are clearly visible in the surveillance pictures police sent out Friday.
