The National Weather Service on Friday evening issued a flood advisory for Utah County.
The advisory was focused on American Fork, Provo and Springville. NWS officials reported that at about 6:15 p.m,. doppler radar showed an area of heavy rain approaching the southern Wasatch Front, and they expected the storm to drop a half-inch to an inch of rain in a span of just 30 minutes.
The NWS said the advisory would last until about 9:15 p.m.
