NFL • A Connecticut man who says he lost an eye after being shot by Aaron Hernandez in February was ordered Friday to appear before a grand jury in Massachusetts that is considering the murder case against the former New England Patriots tight end.

Superior Court Judge Joan Alexander in Hartford ordered Alexander Bradley to appear July 17 in Fall River, Mass., where a grand jury is looking into allegations Hernandez orchestrated the shooting of Odin Lloyd.

Bradley, 33, has filed a civil lawsuit against Hernandez, asserting he was shot in the face by the former player in February as they were driving in Florida after arguing in a Miami strip club.

WNBA teams hope for larger rosters

WNBA • With the WNBA's collective bargaining agreement set to expire after the season, WNBA players are saying that roster size needs to be the top item on the agenda.

In the league's last CBA that was ratified in 2008, the player's union agreed to reduce the roster from 13 to 11 players to save money and ensure labor peace. That move has hampered rosters over the past few seasons in both games and practices. Both sides seem to agree that it needs to be addressed this fall.
