Veterans Alec Burks and Jeremy Evans and recent draftees Trey Burke and Rudy Gobert will lead the Utah Jazz into next week’s Orlando Summer League, the team announced Tuesday.

The league runs July 7-12.

The Jazz will open a mini-camp Wednesday with a 19-man roster, which will likely be trimmed before Utah’s first game on Sunday at 11 a.m. (MT) against Miami.

Other notable players going to camp for the Jazz include Kevin Murphy, Utah’s second-round pick in 2012, and point guard Jerel McNeal, who spent the end of last season with the team.

Also included on the mini-camp roster is Michael Stockton, who has spent the past two years playing professionally in Germany. He is the son of Hall of Famer John Stockton.

The Orlando Summer League will be the first taste of pro basketball for Burke and Gobert.

The Jazz traded for Burke on draft night, sending the No. 14 and No. 21 picks to Minnesota, which had selected the Michigan point guard for Utah at No. 9.

To acquire Gobert, the Jazz sent a second-round pick and cash to Denver after the Nuggets used the 27th pick on the 7-foot-2 center from France.

Meanwhile, beyond the upcoming summer league, the second day of free agency passed quietly for the Jazz, although the market price for veteran Paul Millsap may have been established.

As The Tribune previously reported, the Jazz met with Millsap late Sunday night and expressed a "high interest" in re-signing him.

It is unclear what kind of money it will take to sign Millsap, but Indiana agreed to a three-year, $36 million deal with David West on Tuesday. The first two years of the contract are guaranteed, according to multiple sources around the league, while West owns the option on the third season.

Millsap could be looking for the same kind of contract.

A 10-year veteran, West will be 33 in August. He suffered a torn ACL in March of 2011 in a game against Utah at EnergySolutions Arena.

In 73 games last season, West averaged 17.1 points and 7.6 rebounds for the Pacers, who reached the Eastern Conference finals.

Millsap, a former second-round draft pick who has played seven seasons in Utah, is 28 years old. He averaged 14.6 points and 7.1 rebounds in 78 games last season.
