Connor Van Brocklin, a native of Fruit Heights and leading scorer at Snow College, will join the Utah basketball team for the 2013-14 season.

"We are very excited to add another quality player and person from the great state of Utah," Utah coach Larry Krystkowiak said. "Connor brings great shooting skills and maturity to our program."

Van Brocklin, a 6-foot-5 wing, averaged 15.9 points to lead the Badgers in scoring this season, including an average of 2.5 3-pointers per game. He was named Second Team All-Scenic Western Athletic Conference.

"Coach Krystkowiak said I could come in and fight for a spot and try to earn a scholarship this fall," Van Brocklin said. "I've always dreamed of playing at this level and my father played football here at Utah."
