Utah Grizzlies coach Kevin Colley has resigned to pursue other professional opportunities, the ECHL team announced Monday.

In five seasons under Colley, the Grizzlies never missed qualifying for the playoffs. He compiled an overall record of 157-152-50.

"Coach Colley was dedicated to his team and I thank him for his service," said Grizzlies CEO Kevin Bruder. "His passion for the game of hockey was illustrated on a daily basis. We wish him well in all his future endeavors."

A search for Colley's successor is under way, according to team spokesman Adrian Denny.
