Braden Anderson went 4-for-5 and drove in three runs to lead the Utah baseball team to a 13-6 victory over Kansas on Sunday at Spring Mobile Ballpark.
The Utes (19-29) put up 16 hits on the Jayhawks (31-23), who went up 2-0 in the first inning before giving up 10 unanswered runs.
Tyler Relf went 3-for-4 and drove in two runs.
Dalton Carroll earned the victory for Utah, striking out five and giving up no earned runs in 61â3 innings. His record improved to 4-7.
The Utes won despite committing five errors.
"That was as complete an offensive performance as we've had all year," Utah coach Bill Kinneberg said.
"We did a great job with situational hitting, we squared up some balls and did some nice base running. The only thing that was not up to par today was our defense. We made five errors, but we made some great plays to compensate for that. Dalton and [reliever Josh] Chapman did a really nice job to get out of some things that could have escalated."
