A teenage girl died when her speeding car went out of control on Interstate 215 late Monday night, crashed and rolled.
The Utah Highway Patrol identified the victim as Taylor M. Have, 17, of Taylorsville.
Troopers said that Have's 1996 Ford Mustang convertible was westbound at a high rate of speed near 1400 West in Salt Lake City when it went off the north shoulder, hit a sound wall and rolled repeatedly. Have was ejected, landing in the westbound lanes.
UHP said Have, who did not appear to have been wearing a seat belt, was dead at the scene.
Investigation and cleanup of the scene took nearly five hours, during which westbound traffic was restricted through the area.
