There was no change reported in the status of a 3-year-old girl on Friday, the day after she was hospitalized in critical condition following a fall from a slide at her West Valley City home.

West Valley City Fire Battalion Chief Bob Fitzgerald said the girl suffered cardiac arrest shortly after falling from the 4-foot-high slide Thursday at 3 p.m. She was discovered unconscious in the backyard by her mother, who called 911 and began CPR.

Paramedics were able to restore a pulse before transporting her to Pioneer Valley Hospital.

She was later flown to Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City, where she remained Friday.
