The Salt Lake United women's soccer team already sports Real Salt Lake's claret and cobalt colors.

Now the club will also bear the RSL name.

The team will be known as Real Salt Lake Women SC going forward, furthering a partnership with the Major League Soccer franchise that was formed a year ago. The RSL Women, originally formed in 2008 as the Sparta United Women's Team, plays in the Women's Premier Soccer League, the U.S.'s second-tier women's division. The club will play three games at Rio Tinto Stadium this year, ahead of RSL matches against the Chicago Fire, L.A. Galaxy and Philadelphia Union.

The RSL Women will hold tryouts for current college players on May 10 at Jordan High School, where it plays most of its home contests.
