A pick-up truck caused an 11-car pileup in Millcreek Tuesday after crashing into vehicles at a stop light.

At 12:45 p.m., a GMC Denali going north on State Street didn't slow down as it approached two lines of vehicles waiting at a red light at 3900 South, said Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal.

The truck actually plowed in between the two lines of cars, crashing into some and shoving some aside into other vehicles, including a Utah Transit Authority bus.

Some vehicles only lost some paint, while others sustained significant damage, Hoyal said. Two females were also taken to Intermountain Medical Center with minor injuries.

The pick-up driver was apparently fatigued, Hoyal said. He wasn't immediately cited at the scene, as police are still investigating the pile-up.

The passengers on the bus would have been moved to another UTA bus, said spokesman Chad Saley, though he did not know how damaged the bus was.
