Police say a husband killed his wife and then himself in Price early Sunday.

Officers said 37-year-old David Scott Donaldson called dispatchers about 2:50 a.m. Sunday to tell them he had shot his wife, Shaniel Kaye Donaldson, 32, and planned to shoot himself at a residence near 600 West and 300 South.

When officers with the police department, Carbon County Sheriff's Office, Utah Highway Patrol and Helper police arrived, they removed four children from the home and tried to contact the husband, who remained inside. The children were not harmed.

When the Carbon County SWAT team entered the home, they found the husband and wife dead in the master bedroom, apparent victims of a murder-suicide.

Police said they didn't plan to release any additional information until Monday.
