A Salt Lake City International Airport driver was upgraded to fair condition Tuesday, two days after his truck crashed into the wing of a parked cargo plane.
Senituli Loamanu, 19, had been listed in critical condition following the 6:20 p.m. Sunday collision on the airport tarmac. The accident send the wing through the truck's windshield and also caused fuel to leak from the wing's tanks.
Airport investigators continued Tuesday to look into the cause of the accident.
Loamanu was taken by ambulance to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray. He remained there Tuesday, but it was expected he could soon be released, said hospital spokesman Jason Carlton.
