Salt Lake City firefighters were able to rescue a construction worker who suffered a seizure while working on a scaffolding at a construction site Friday morning.
At about 8 a.m., crews were called to 1020 N. Terrace Hills Drive (900 East), where they found the 37-year-old worker lying on a platform about 20 feet above the ground near a house under construction, according to fire department spokesman Jasen Asay.
Asay said that the man fell and hit his head while working but it was unclear Friday whether the fall came before or after the seizure.
Rescuers were able to raise a stretcher up to where the man was. Crew members then secured him and lowered him down with ropes. Firefighters then secured the stretcher to large wheels that were able to move over the snowy, hilly terrain of the site. The man was conscious and later taken to the hospital, Asay said.
