Directions • From the trailhead, hike southwest. Go through the gate with a grated ramp at .15 mile and continue another 3/4 mile to the signed junction with the Bull Flat Trail. Take a right (west) and head uphill to a nice, rocky overlook at 1.4 mile. The trail winds steeply uphill through a lovely mahogany grove and into a high, open stretch of sagebrush and flowers.
At 2.75 miles you will arrive at a beautiful, white rock crag. Be sure to admire the intricacy of the rock formation. The trail drops below and around this crag and continues southwest to the top of the hill. You will see a sign marking the Bull Flat Trail right as sweeping views open up to your east. The trail peters out at a cairn just ahead, at 3.3 miles. You can wander around the meadow a bit if it pleases you. Return the way you hiked up.
Getting there » From Snowville, take exit 5 off Interstate 84 to westbound State Road 30. After 15.5 miles, you will reach State Road 42. Take S.R. 42 north 8.6 miles.
