Westminster College will host the Whiffenpoofs of Yale University, America's oldest collegiate a cappella group, on January 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Vieve Gore Concert Hall in the Emma Eccles Jones Conservatory.

Brigham Young University's female a cappella group, Noteworthy, will join the Whiffenpoofs for the night.

Both groups have been featured on NBC's a cappella reality show, "The Sing-Off." Noteworthy appeared in the show's premier in 2009, while the Whiffenpoofs competed the following year. Founded in 1909, the "Whiffs" began as a senior quintet that met for weekly concerts at Mory's Temple Bar in New Haven. Today, the group has become one of Yale's most celebrated traditions. This year's group, the 103rd class of Whiffenpoofs, recently traveled to the White House to perform for President and Mrs. Obama at an annual holiday party. In addition to the current Commander in Chief, Presidents Reagan, Bush I and II, and Clinton have hosted the ensemble in the past. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $10 for students and are available at http://www.whiffenpoofs.com/tickets.
