"Under the Sea" with mermaids and sea witches in the Utah desert?
Eons ago, Washington County was submerged by a great inland sea — maybe that explains the success this summer of the outdoor production of Disney's Tony- winning musical "The Little Mermaid" in the redrock of Tuacahn Amphitheatre.
Between Disney and Tuacahn, poor Hans Christian Anderson wouldn't recognize his fairy tale about a fish out of water.
You can catch it Wednesday, Oct. 19, and at Tuacahn Outdoor Amphitheatre, 100 Tuacahn Drive, Ivins. The last show is Friday.
