Urgyen Samten Ling invites the public to Prayers for Compassion. Anyone can participate at any time, day or night, to contribute to the accumulation of more than 2 million recitations of Om Mani Padme Hung, the mantra of compassion.

Iosepa: Utah's Pacific-Islander Pioneers Through the eyes of an Archaeologist

From 1889 to 1917, Mormon converts from the Pacific Islands settled in Iosepa, a remote desert colony in Utah's Skull Valley. Archaeological investigations at the site have revealed how these pioneers sought to make the desert "blossom as the rose" by drawing upon their traditional cultures and their new faith.
