You can make more than just cookies, cakes and pies with a pumpkin. Really! Just look at these recipes.

Or you could ask the chef at Pago, who is offering a Pumpkin Tasting menu Tuesday, Oct. 30 through Sunday, Nov. 4. The three-course meal costs $30 per person and includes heirloom pumpkin risotto with hazelnuts and local apples, pumpkin spaetzle with pan-seared Utah trout and fennel slaw, and pumpkin pie with spiced chocolate mousse.
