The prestigious Culinary Institute of America (CIA) will bring its popular "World Cuisine Boot Camp" to Salt Lake City Oct. 8-12. During this five-day, intensive class CIA Chef Dave Bruno will introduce students to cooking methods and equipment used in global cuisines from the Mediterranean, Latin America and Asia.

The class runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Viking Cooking School, 2233 S. 300 East, Salt Lake City. Cost is $1,995 per person.

Can't afford that kind of dough? One lucky Utah cook could win free tuition through The CIA-Viking Dream Chef Contest.

Write a few words — no more than 50 — that answers the question "How would a free five-day Culinary Boot Camp class change my life?" Email answers to j_blotch@culinary.edu before midnight on Wednesday, Sept. 19. Include a telephone number with your submission.

The winner must be able to spend all five days in class. No substitutions will be made and no money will be exchanged in lieu of classes.

The winner will be announced on this blog, on Tuesday, Sept. 25.
