Throughout August, we tasted our way through 31 of Utah's finest frozen confections including ice cream, gelato, frozen yogurt and shave ice. Here is a roundup of all 31 selections — just in case you missed one.

Day 1 • Lychee ice cream. Think island breezes and ocean waves when you taste this unique ice cream made with exotic lychee. Tropical Dreams Hawaiian Ice Cream, 928 E. 900 South, Salt Lake City; 801-359-0986.

Day 2 • Frozen hot chocolate. A cool blend of shave ice, ice cream and chocolate, this drink is as comforting as its winter counterpart. Island Flavor Shaved Ice Truck, 4720 S. Holladay Blvd., Holladay (in front of Rite Aid); 801-856-1212.

Day 3 • Huckleberry ice cream soda. Sit at the historic counter and soda fountain, which dates back to 1910, when you slurp down this old-fashioned ice cream soda made with huckleberry ice cream and blackberry syrup. Burch Creek Mercantile, 3920 Washington Blvd., Ogden; 801-605-3384.

Day 4 • Pace Bars. Generously sized, made-in-Utah treats come in a dozen flavors, including tiger's blood, root beer and blue raspberry, but the peach bar is the best. Pace's Dairy Ann, 1180 S. 500 West, Bountiful; or Associated Foods stores.

Day 5 • Frozen raspberry lemonade. Lemonade is always a good summer refresher, but blend it with a scoop of raspberry sorbet, a bit of lemon-lime soda and crushed ice and you get a sweet summer slushy. Day 6 • Vanilla frozen custard. Frozen custard is the rich cousin of frozen yogurt — creamier, denser and shinier. A single scoop of vanilla makes you wonder why "vanilla" ever became a synonym for "ordinary." Day 7 • Blood orange gelato. This refreshing Italian sorbetto is made with arancia rossa, the red oranges of Sicily. The sweet citrus flavor and a beautiful pink color offer candy for the eyes and the taste buds. Cafe Bella Rue, 11259 Kestrel Rise Road, South Jordan; 801-254-9500.

Day 8 • Aggie blue mint ice cream. You don't have be a graduate of Utah State University in Logan to love this mint-flavored ice cream with pieces of Oreo cookies and white chocolate mixed in. Aggie Ice Cream Store, 750 N. 1200 East, Logan (inside USU's Nutrition Science Building); 435-797-2109.

Day 9 • Tart frozen yogurt . This plain nonfat frozen treat has the sweetly sour taste of unadorned plain yogurt but with none of the sugary/artificial flavors added to other fro-yos. LunaBerry Frozen Yogurt, Crepes N Smoothies, 358 S. 700 East, Salt Lake City, 801-359-0427.

Day 10 • Jack Frost chocolate/coffee shake. Get a blast of caffeine with this addictive coffee drink, made with four shots of espresso, two shots of Ghirardelli chocolate, and half-and-half. Jack Mormon Coffee, 82 E St., Salt Lake City; 801-359-2979.

Day 11 • Strawberry balsamic gelato. The sweet and tart of fresh berries yields to the sharp presence of balsamic vinegar that's at once invigorating and stimulating and tastes like no other ice cream you've had. Day 12 • Shane's chocolate chip swirl. Generous scoops of chocolate-chip ice cream on top of chocolate ice cream, slathered with chocolate and regular whipped cream make this a mountain of chocolate goodness. Leatherby's Family Creamery, 1872 W. 5400 South, Taylorsville; 801-967-2566.

Day 13 • Raspberry and lime sorbet. Tangy raspberry sorbet has as much flavor as a cup of ripe fruit, while the fresh lime is bursting with clean, cool citrus. Farr Better Ice Cream, 286 E. 21st St., Ogden; 801-393-8629.

Day 14 • Mojito shaved ice. Fresh squeezed lime and mint — flavors that make the mojito cocktail a favorite summer drink — have the same refreshing effect when added to shaved ice. There's no rum, of course, but it tastes just fine with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the bottom and some cream drizzled on top. Day 15 • Fresh lime freeze. This tart, but sweet citrus offering is made with vanilla soft-serve ice cream, a homemade lime simple syrup, soda water and fresh lime juice. Hi-Mountain Drug, 40 N. Main St., Kamas.

Day 16 • Albino grasshopper frozen custard. A homemade frozen custard made with crumbled Oreo cookies and York Peppermint Patties. CAMP, 600 E. 900 South, inside near the children's rides in Liberty Park, 1300 South between 500 and 700 East, Salt Lake City.

Day 17 • Black raspberry ice cream with chocolate chips. Owner Shawn Stuart says if he were to run out of this flavor, his regular customers would riot. This house-made ice cream is bursting with fresh fruit flavor, then textured with dark chocolate specks. Ice Cream ConeUcopia, 26 E. 600 South, in the Infinity Event Center, Salt Lake City.

Day 18 • Chocolate-chocolate chip ice cream. Choose your flavors and then watch as your ice cream is made in front of you with a frigid blast of liquid nitrogen. Nitro Freeze, 3307 S. State St., South Salt Lake.

Day 19 • Bear Lake raspberry shake. Made with ice cream and crushed Bear Lake raspberries — no need to say more. LaBeau's Drive-In, 69 N. Bear Lake Blvd., Garden City. Just north of the intersection of U.S. 89 and Bear Lake Boulevard. 435-946-8821.

Day 20 • Pomegranate frozen yogurt. A clean, fruity-flavored nonfat frozen yogurt, without the artificial sugar aftertaste. A varied selection of toppings, from fruit to nuts and more. YoWay Yogurt, 675 E. 2100 South, Salt Lake City. 801-466-3739.

Day 21 • Apricot mochi. A soft creamy scoop of homemade apricot gelato is wrapped in a sheet of sweet chewy mochi dough — pounded sticky rice — for a perfectly portioned confection. Salt Lake Mochi Co. Find this booth on Sundays at the Wasatch Front Farmers Market at Wheeler Farm, 6351 S. 900 East, Murray.

Day 22 • Avocado pistachio popsicle. This pop, a unique blend of ripe avocados, cream, pistachios and honey, will appeal to anyone who prefers subtle, savory flavors over sugary sweet treats. Lick'd gourmet popsicle stand at farmers markets at Pioneer Park, Wheeler Farm, South Towne Center and Sugar House Park.

Day 23 • Strawberry, brownie and banana-cookie dough shakes. These shakes are so thick you have to eat them with a spoon because a straw would never work. Iceberg Drive Inn, locations in Salt Lake City, Taylorsville, Riverton, Syracuse, Orem, Highland and St. George.

Day 24 • LaVell Vanilla ice cream. Named after BYU's legendary football coach LaVell Edwards, this is the top-selling ice cream on the Provo campus. Brigham Young University Creamery, 1209 N. 900 East, Provo.

Day 25 • Italian Water Ice. Finely shaved ice blended with fruit purée, natural flavorings, sugar and water. They're nonfat, dairy-free and gluten-free. Flavors range from mango, coconut creme and pineapple to mokaccino, a coffee and chocolate blend. Zeppe's, 883 N. Washington Blvd., Harrisville.

Day 26 • Panna cotta gelato. Two of Italy's most popular desserts — panna cotta and gelato — come together in this creamy vanilla-based dessert with a bit of caramel and some chocolate chunks. Capo Gelateria Italiana, 262 S. 200 West, Salt Lake City; 801-322-3556.

Day 27 • Lilikoi, Hawaiian delight and mango shave ice. Made with finely shaved ice that absorbs the flavored syrups — such as lilikoi (passion fruit) and li hing mui (dried plum) — more efficiently. Mo' Bettah Steaks, locations in Bountiful, Salt Lake City and Logan.

Day 28 • Orange coriander ice cream. Bits of orange peel add a kick. Other interesting-sounding flavors include pomegranate rosehip, honey lavender, nondairy coconut and hibiscus. Chabaar, 87 W. 7200 South, Midvale.

Day 29 • Watermelon basil and coconut lime mint popsicles. Fruit and herbs make this pop sweet and aromatic — and the ingredients are all organic and natural. Wasatch Pops and Snow Shack, 3981 S. Wasatch Blvd., in front of the Dan's supermarket at Olympus Hills, Salt Lake City.

Day 30 • Strawberry banana smoothie. For this fruit sensaion, choose up to two yogurt flavors and three fruits with a splash of either orange juice or apple juice. Planet Yogurt, 9096 S. Village Shop Drive, Sandy.

Day 31 • Tempura fried ice cream. A scoop of vanilla ice cream is dipped in tempura batter and fried until golden.
