Saffron Valley, the award-winning South Jordan Indian restaurant, is hosting the second annual South Indian Food Festival July 2 through July 8 (including Sunday, July 7). Aromatic and flavorful delicacies from various towns and cities within the Tamil country will be featured at the weeklong event. An a la carte menu created by executive chef Kannan and owner Lavanya Mahate will start at $6 a dish. The menu will feature traditional vegetarian and non-vegetarian items like spicy fish curry, piquant pakodas, fried sardines, and lacy appams. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saffron Valley is at 1098 W. South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan.
