Dutch Oven Cooking Class

Matt Pelton and Doug Martin, winners of the 2012 World Dutch Oven Championships, will demonstrate how to make meatballs in a marinara sauce, rustic Tuscan bread, lasagne and pumpkin Kahlua layer cake in a cast-iron pot.

Early Bird Brunch

Looking for Mrs. Holiday

Taste of Home magazine is looking for an official holiday ambassador to participate in cooking segments, blog and make appearances at retailers and Taste of Home cooking schools. Besides the title of "Mrs. Holiday," the winner will receive $50,000. To enter, upload a short video and signature recipe at Facebook.com/TasteofHome that demonstrates how you bring holidays to life for family and friends. Videos for Independence Day, New Years, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are welcome. The winner will be selected from the top 100 entries that receive the most votes. Deadline is Sept. 7.

Arts volunteers needed

On Saturday, Aug. 11, nearly 200 DIY arts and crafts vendors will come together at the Gallivan Center for Craft Lake City. But before this free event can take place, organizer need help. Volunteer positions are available including greeters, stage support, information booth, children's area and artist set up and tear down.
