Green River Fishing Report - Flows Have Been High, But Are Dropping

Flows have been up on the Green, but they should be dropping over the weekend and could be stablizing for the rest of spring and summer next week. Here's the weekly report from Ryan Kelly of Flaming Gorge Resort.

Flows: 6600 decreasing slowly each day down to 1500 over the next week.In the high flows nymph fishing has been great. It does require some good rowing and a lot of weight to get down to the fish. Worms, eggs, and scuds are the name of the game when it comes to high water. The high flows are not wader friendly, nor are they dry fly friendly. If you are confident in your rowing and enjoy deep nymph fishing the next few days should be pretty good. Once the flow drops below 4600 we should start to see some dry fly action. We still knocked out some good fish this week, but I am looking forward to the return of dry fly fishing. I included a few pics from the past week.
