New whiskey to debut at High West
High West Distillery and Saloon in Park City will unveil it's newest whiskey called Campfire on Saturday, May 5, during it's third annual Derby Day Party.
It is possibly the first spirit that is a blend of malt scotch whiskey, Bourbon, and rye, according to High West Owner, Dave Perkins. The blend makes for a "sweet, spicy and smoky sipping whiskey."
During the Derby Party, which celebrates the 138th running of the Kentucky Derby, Campfire will be used to make the traditional Mint Juleps. ($6 each.)
The party runs from 2:30 to 6 p.m. and is open to all ages. Tickets are $30 in advance or $40 at the door. Cost includes a buffet of Kentucky favorites including Burgoo stew, hot browns and Derby pie, as well as live music, a hat contest and viewing the race on the big-screen TVs.
