Mini's bakery, known for its small, retro cupcakes, is introducing a new line of small pies on Wednesday, March 14, National Pie Day

Samples will be available beginning at 8 a.m. at the downtown Mini's store, 14 E. 800 South in Salt Lake; and starting at 10 a.m. at the Sugarhouse store, 1751 S. 1100 East.

Go early as there are limited supplies.

The new made-from-scratch pie collection stays with the shop's "smaller is better' theme. Mini's pies are 7 inches rather than the traditional 9 inches. They cost $9. Currently there are seven flavors including chocolate satin, strawberry chiffon, coconut and berry.
