Utahns are invited to attend Brigham Young University's annual "Hunger Banquet," which helps people better understand the world's food disparity.

It is Friday, March 2, at 7 p.m. in the Wilkinson Center Ballroom. Tickets are $8 in advance at the Wilkinson Center Information Desk or $10 at the door. Maya Ajmera, founder of the Global Fund for Children, is the event's keynote speaker.

During the banquet, which attracts about 1,200 people, guests are randomly assigned to sit in a high-, middle- or low-income area and provided a meal corresponding to their assigned income class.

Guests can come early, at 6:15 p.m., for the Involvement Fair, to learn more about student clubs, local non-profit organizations and meet socially innovative professionals.
