The Three Forks Cafe is a new restaurant open to the public inside the I.J. & Jeanné Wagner Jewish Community Center, 2 N. Medical Drive, Salt Lake City. The family-owned operation serves soups, salads, sandwiches and hamburgers. Popular items include the breakfast burrito, vegetarian chili and turkey cranberry sandwich. The kitchen follows some kosher restrictions, including no pork or shellfish, and no meat and dairy on the same plate. Prices from $2 to $12. Tapas and wine
Enjoy Spanish tapas and wine on Saturday, March 10, at The Sun and Moon Cafe, 5195 Emigration Canyon, Salt Lake City. On that evening, in additional to the regular menu, guests will be able to order off a special tapas list. Spanish wine to match will be available for an additional $15. Dining awards
Karen Olson, the owner of the Metropolitan — which closed after 16 years in business — was given Salt Lake Magazine’s Lifetime Achievement Award earlier this week.
