Good food focus of ‘Love Your Body Week’

Healthy, organic food and mindful eating are the focus of Love Your Body Week, taking place Feb. 27-March 3 on the University of Utah campus and at various Salt Lake City businesses.

Events are free to the public and are being sponsored by the student group SPEAK (Students Promoting Eating Disorder Awareness and Knowledge) and local clinicians who treat disordered eating. This year’s theme is "Love Your Body, Love Your Land."

Food for the senses: chocolate and olive oil tasting • Monday, Feb. 27, 6 p.m., Liberty Heights Fresh Market, 1290 S. 1100 East, Salt Lake City.

Organic farming with Bell Organics • Tuesday, Feb. 28, noon, U. of U. Annex Building B, room 2146.

Nurture your body the natural way • Wednesday, Feb. 29, 10 a.m., Union Building, Saltair room.

Keynote address • Wednesday, Feb. 29, noon, Union Building Saltair Room. Christy Greenleaf, from the University of Texas, who will be speaking on the stigma of size, fat discrimination, and obesity issues.

Love Your Body Yoga • Friday, March 2, 7:30 p.m. at Centered City Yoga, 913 E. 900 South, Salt Lake City.
