$12.99 • The Banana Leaf’s chicken tikka masala is a deep, rich-flavored affair. Unlike many overtly creamy preparations of the dish, this curry is a more subtle experience, accented by coconut milk. The dish is even more enjoyable when scooped up with the accompanying garlic pa’an — think of an Indian-style roti flatbread but with garlic and Parmesan folded in. The result is a wafer-thin bread that is crispy, flaky and soft all at the same time, and is utterly addictive.
The Banana Leaf is at 409 N. University Ave., Provo; 801-636-0596. It is open Monday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., 4-10 p.m.
