First Published Feb 10 2012 10:59 am • Last Updated Feb 10 2012 10:59 am

A recent trip to Bangkok by the chefs at Pei Wei Asian Diners has inspired the creation of the new Thai Basil Chicken Dinner.

Customers can get a free plate of this zesty, but sweet, pesto dish when they purchase another entree, now through Friday, Feb. 17. Normal price is $6.25.

To qualify for the free offer, customers must first visit PeiWeiMarket.com and create a special dining passport and follow the directions for the special Thai Basil expert stamp.

As the name implies, the new entree has the bold flavor of Thai basil as well as lemongrass, ginger, chilies and lime.

In Utah, Pei Wei has locations in Midvale, Salt Lake, Sandy and West Bountiful.
