The Tour de Brewtah charity bike ride isn't until May 5. But organizers are hosting a "Winter Warm Up" party to promote the annual event that combines beer, biking and giving back.
The winter party will be Thursday, Feb. 2, from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Uinta Brewing, 1722 S. Fremont Drive (2375 West). Admission and snacks are free, but guests should bring their wallet so they can sample some of Uinta's new beers.
Ride your bike to the event and be entered to win a spot in the 2012 ride. Guests also can get registration information and details about the T-shirt design contest.
The Tour de Brewtah is part of the Live Green SLC! Festival. Cyclists ride around the city, making stops at various brew pubs. All proceeds benefit local charities.
