Today: 'Affair' ends at Tower; classic series takes hiatus
It's your last chance to see "An Affair to Remember" at the Tower and your last chance to see any classic films there for a while.
The 1957 romance, starring Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr as two people whose meeting at the Empire State Building is intercepted by fate, will screen today at 4 and 9 p.m. at the Tower Theatre, 876 E. 900 South, Salt Lake City.
Tickets are $6.25 for matinees, $8.75 for the evening show, at the Tower box office.
The movie is part of the Salt Lake Film Society's "Tower Through Time" series, which brings classic films in 35mm prints to the Tower screen. That program is taking January off, in part because of Sundance Film Festival programming starting Jan. 20.
The series will return in February, with a month dedicated to the work of French noir director Jean-Pierre Melville.
