Jamestown, N.Y. • If you loved Lucy, you might want to celebrate Lucille Ball's 100th birthday in a Festival of Comedy scheduled Aug. 3-7 at the Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Center.

"We know that Lucy and Desi's intentions were for their legacy to live on in the form of living, breathing comedy that would be as progressive and contemporary as they were," said Journey Gunderson, the center's executive director. "And so, we've adopted a four-pillar plan called the Legacy of Laughter to fulfill Lucy and Desi's original intentions."

The lineup will include performances by Joan Rivers, San Francisco-based Rooftop Comedy, Whitney Cummings, Lucy and Ricky impersonator shows, and live outdoor comedy. There will be an attempt to set the Guiness World Record for most people dressed as Lucy Ricardo and unveiling of new exhibits in the Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Museum and the Desilu Playhouse. The Museum includes costumes, awards and vintage memorabilia from the estates of both actors as well as replicas of the sets from "I Love Lucy."
