The Jazz look like they'll be short-handed tonight.

Forward Marvin Williams did not go through the team's shootaround Friday morning and is doubtful to play tonight against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Williams, who has a bruised left knee bone, tried to play through the injury Tuesday against the Dallas Mavericks. But he made it just eight minutes into the game before he was taken out.

Without Williams, the Jazz will have one fewer body to throw against Portland's LaMarcus Aldridge, who is averaging 22 points and 11 rebounds.

Aldridge poses a tough task for whomever matches up with him.

The key to defending him, according to Jazz forward Derrick Favors: "Just hope he miss the shot. You know he's going to use that turnaround jumper and pick-and-pop jumper. The best thing you can do is just hope he misses."

The game tips off at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on ROOT Sports.
