The Utah Jazz will honor longtime coach Jerry Sloan during a ceremony Friday night at EnergySolutions Arena.

Sloan became coach of the Jazz on Dec. 9, 1988 and kept the position until Feb. 10, 2011.

The No. 1,223 will be raised to the rafters during Friday’s ceremony. Sloan won 1,223 games during his 23 seasons as the Jazz’s coach.
