Gordon Hayward scored 29 points while Alec Burks and Trey Burke added 21 to lead the Utah Jazz to a 109-103 victory over Houston on Monday night at EnergySolutions Arena.

The Jazz won their second straight game and improved to 4-15 this season. Houston had a five-game winning streak snapped and, despite 37 points by James Harden, slipped to 13-6.

The Jazz used a 12-2 run to build a 36-23 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Houston rallied to take a 45-44 lead, but Burks finished the half with five points in the final 38 seconds to help the Jazz move back in front at halftime, 53-30.

Utah never lost the lead in the second half, but needed five points by Marvin Williams in the final two minutes to hold off Harden and the Rockets. —
