Another night. Another loss. This makes eight in a row.

The Utah Jazz played well for three quarters on Monday night, looking the Denver Nuggets square in the eye. A young team, however, wilted in the fourth period, losing 100-81 at EnergySolutions Arena.

Ty Lawson led the Nuggets with 17 points and 10 assists. Former Utah guard Andre Miller had 15, with most of that coming in the second half.

Utah's quest for a first win died early in the deciding quarter. Despite 22 points by Gordon Hayward and 21 points to go along with 13 rebounds from Derrick Favors, the Jazz couldn't find scoring help from other sources.Utah is now 0-8, and it's tough to see the Jazz winning this week with New Orleans and San Antonio coming to Salt Lake City.tjones@sltrib.comTwitter: @tjonessltrib
